There are three main types of silver solution: ionic silver, silver protein and colloidal silver.
Ionic silver is made of silver ions (Ag+) in solution. Silver ion is an atom of silver that is missing one electron which makes it chemically unstable, due to instability they are ineffective and toxic for the usage of human and animals internally.
Silver protein is made of large metallic silver particles (Ag-NPs) suspended in a polymer protein solution, these large silver particles (Ag-NPs) have a low surface area resulting in less effective interactions.
Colloidal Silver is the suspension of ultra-fine (Nano-sized) metallic silver particles (Ag-NPs) as a solution in water. Colloidal Silver is the most desirable form of silver solution unlike ionic silver and silver protein.
